Welcome to The Flying Carpet. These Terms of Service explain the terms that apply when you visit our website, submit a contact form, request an estimate, schedule service, or use our rug cleaning, rug repair, rug restoration, pickup, delivery, or related services.
By using our website or requesting service from The Flying Carpet, you agree to these Terms of Service.
The Flying Carpet provides professional Oriental rug cleaning, Persian rug cleaning, area rug cleaning, rug repair, rug restoration, stain treatment, odor treatment, fringe repair, binding, and related specialty rug care services.
We serve residential and commercial clients in Florence, SC, the Pee Dee, Grand Strand, Lowcountry, and surrounding service areas.
Estimates may be provided based on the information available at the time, including customer descriptions, rug photos, rug size, rug type, visible damage, stains, odors, and the requested service.
An estimate is not a final price unless confirmed by The Flying Carpet after inspection. Final pricing may change based on rug size, fiber type, construction, condition, level of soil, odor contamination, dye instability, prior damage, repair needs, pickup/delivery requirements, and other service factors.
Submitting a contact form or estimate request does not create a binding service agreement until The Flying Carpet accepts the work and confirms the service details.
Every rug is different. Before cleaning, repair, or restoration, The Flying Carpet may inspect the rug to evaluate condition, fiber type, dye stability, construction, wear, damage, stains, odors, previous cleaning issues, and repair needs.
Some conditions may not be fully visible until the rug is cleaned or handled. This may include hidden stains, dry rot, foundation weakness, dye bleeding, pet contamination, moth damage, sun fading, mildew, prior chemical damage, latex deterioration, or previous improper repairs.
If additional issues are discovered, The Flying Carpet may contact you before continuing with additional work.
The Flying Carpet uses professional judgment and experience to provide careful rug cleaning, repair, and restoration services. However, results cannot be guaranteed.
Some stains, discoloration, odors, dye migration, wear patterns, fading, fiber damage, pet contamination, mildew, water damage, or prior chemical damage may be permanent or only partially improved.
Repair and restoration work is intended to improve stability, appearance, and usability where possible. Exact color matching, texture matching, fringe matching, or restoration to original/new condition cannot be guaranteed.
Oriental rugs, Persian rugs, antique rugs, handmade rugs, wool rugs, silk rugs, heirloom rugs, and high-value rugs may require special handling. The customer is responsible for informing The Flying Carpet of any known history, value, prior repairs, age, fiber type, or special concerns related to the rug.
The Flying Carpet may recommend additional inspection, testing, or specialized care before proceeding with cleaning or restoration.
The customer understands that older, fragile, handmade, or previously damaged rugs may carry additional risk during cleaning, washing, drying, transport, repair, or restoration.
Before service, customers should remove personal items, furniture, rug pads, or fragile items from the service area when applicable.
Customers should disclose known concerns, including but not limited to:
Pet accidents
Water damage
Mold or mildew
Prior cleaning attempts
Bleach or chemical exposure
Moth or insect damage
Loose seams, fringe, or binding
Known rug value or appraisals
Previous restoration or repairs
The Flying Carpet is not responsible for undisclosed conditions that affect cleaning or restoration results.
If pickup or delivery is provided, the customer is responsible for ensuring safe access to the property, accurate contact information, and availability at the scheduled time.
Additional fees may apply for travel, pickup, delivery, missed appointments, difficult access, oversized rugs, commercial properties, multiple rugs, or service areas outside the normal route.
The Flying Carpet is not responsible for delays caused by weather, traffic, unsafe access, incorrect address information, customer unavailability, or other circumstances outside our control.
Payment is due according to the terms provided at the time of service, estimate, invoice, pickup, delivery, or completion.
The Flying Carpet may require deposits for certain repair, restoration, commercial, custom, oversized, or specialty projects.
Unpaid balances may delay return delivery or release of rugs until payment is completed.
Returned payments, failed payments, chargebacks, collection costs, or late payments may result in additional fees to the extent allowed by law.
Customers should notify The Flying Carpet as soon as possible if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Cancellation or rescheduling fees may apply for missed appointments, late cancellations, special-order materials, custom repair work, pickup/delivery scheduling, or work already started.
If a rug or item is not claimed, picked up, or paid for after completion, The Flying Carpet may make reasonable attempts to contact the customer using the contact information provided.
If the customer does not respond or retrieve the rug within a reasonable period, storage fees may apply. After extended non-response or non-payment, the rug may be considered abandoned to the extent permitted by applicable law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Flying Carpet is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our website or services.
The Flying Carpet is not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden damage, manufacturer defects, dye instability, prior improper cleaning, prior chemical exposure, weak fibers, dry rot, moth damage, pet contamination, sun fading, wear, aging, or conditions that become more visible during cleaning or restoration.
If liability is found, The Flying Carpet’s responsibility shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, to the extent permitted by law.
The Flying Carpet provides professional rug care services using experience, care, and reasonable service practices. However, no cleaning, repair, restoration, stain removal, odor removal, or color improvement result is guaranteed.
Some rugs may improve significantly, while others may have permanent damage, discoloration, staining, odor, fading, or wear that cannot be fully corrected.
